MILKA SEMOVA

With 25+ years of experience across leading academia, nonprofits and businesses worldwide, I have built a career centred on networking for innovation and driving knowledge-sharing initiatives. I bring a global mindset and a proven ability to bridge diverse organisational cultures—Industrial, Academic, Nonprofit, and Institutional.
At present, I serve on the steering committees of the Sustainability Specialists’ Association and the Bulgarian OECD National Contact Point. I specialise in mobilising resources, shaping high-impact campaigns, and steering sustainable development transformations that deliver long-term value.
I am also the Partnership Officer at the Bulgarian branch of the British charity Hope and Homes for Children, and we have been proud BBCC members since 2022. During my post-doctoral years (2016–2022), I conducted social research projects for UNICEF and the private sector.
Between 2007 and 2015, I served as Executive Director of the Alumni Club at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, where I pioneered educational and social innovations. I hold credentials as a GCDF-certified career advisor and Ericson coach, and in 2012, I was honoured with the Erasmus Best Career Practice Award in Higher Education.
From 1996 to 2006, I was among the first team members of Junior Achievement Bulgaria, leading efforts to embed entrepreneurial education into the national ecosystem and among the founders of the AmCham CSR working group.
